It’s just about that time when you start to receive holiday cards from friends and family. You’ll get merry notes, pictures of kids, and cards galore. They will take over the front of your refrigerator and you’ll have so many you won’t know what to do with all of them! Then, there are the cards you sent from your family with pictures to show what your year has been like. It becomes a crazy pile of holiday cards and pictures. Am I right?
Of course you want to display them. I mean, ’tis the season! But do you find yourself ready to clean the clutter after the holidays yet at the same time hesitating to throw them away? Follow this easy way to organize all your holiday cards in one place. It’s cute, inexpensive and doesn’t take up much space. Happy organizing = happy holidays!

Surprise! This post is about another organization binder. I use this to organize holiday cards that are from Shane and me. You can use it this way, too, or you can use it to organize the holidays cards you receive from friends and family or for both!
I used a mini binder (5.5” x 8.5”). Similar binders to the one I have are here, hereand here. I like when the binder has rings on the back cover because it makes it easy to open and close the binder and the pages don’t get stuck on the rings.
To spruce it up a little I added a cute piece of cardstock (cut in half) and a label for the side. On the inside, I filled the binder with Avery Mini Sheet Protectors and black shimmer cardstock. The cardstock only comes in 8.5” x 11” sheets so I cut them in half. They are thick enough that you only need one piece per sheet protector. The last thing I bought were number stickers similar to theseand these.
Putting each page together is super easy. You’re really only making one page a year (unless you have past years to catch up on). If you are saving holiday cards from your friends and family it is still easy but might take a little more time. Just use a little glue or double sided tape to secure your card to the cardstock, add your numbers to show what year the card is for and place it in the sheet protector. Voila!
I love that I have this little memento to look back on over the years. It’s quick, easy and doesn’t take up much space. Happy organizing and happy holidays!
